Thought I'd share with you guys, been a while since I've posted anything, car is now on its 3rd engine block...don't ask! its a 55k free one I had out of a 80's SD1.
Over the Autumn/winter I'll remove the BW35 & fit the 5spd LT77 manual box that came with the engine, cheers Damian

Cheers Rich, Good to see Sparky passed its MOT! looking forward to doing the gearbox swap, BW35 is getting clunky, Manual will be so much nicer to drive & a tad faster 8)

Nice one sounds good .
Not sure about your heavy on camera breathing , bit spooky
Otherwise superb :D

Superb, Damian. Your car is a credit it to you.

It was your build thread that inspired me to get my car done. The finish on your car is excellent, you wouldn`t know from looking at it that it was an amateur spray.

Now, go and drive it some!

Cheers

Hi Guys, Thanks for the comments, yeah the dodgy camera breathing is bit ..well dodgy, didn't realise it would pick it up!, maybe try to film another one but holding my breath :)

It sounds very nice, Danian. What set up is that/ Iron manifolds or fabricated, how many boxes?
The car, as always, looks immaculate, and I do like the subtlety of your styling mods - just sets it apart from the crowd!

Chris

Hi Chris, manifolds are standard factory cast ones, rest of the exhaust is standard, I removed the middle box and welded in a stainless tube, rear silencer is stainless which I welded on to the existing pipe. Sounds just right, not too loud & not too quiet for a V8 8)
One day I'll get a new custom system made with twin outlets at the rear!
Cheers Damian

Your Rover looks great Damian. :) Having removed the muffler and replaced it with a length of pipe, what has been the result from inside the car? Is it drummy at all?

I started a thread over in the V8 engine section on camshafts. As you are running the 3.9 camshaft, what have been your observations? Any negative aspects at all in terms of top end power?

Ron.
