3.5 Litre V8, Slightly different

Had the opportunity to go for a longish drive (as a passenger) in a Tatra 613 on a recent visit to Slovakia.
These ran from 1975 through 1996, this car is from 1992.
A revelation.
DOHC Air-cooled V8, mid/rear mounted (3 of 4 cylinders in front of the rear axle) 4 speed manual gearbox, manual steering..
Czech car but body designed by Vignale. Larger than Rovers with a brilliant glasshouse, great vision all round.
Very quiet in the front seat, smooth rapid cornering, comfy ride.
Comfortable interior but basic rather than luxurious..
Very impressive but I was expecting to be impressed.

Great share. Makes me wonder who was driving around in one of these before 1989/Velvet Revolution. This one will have sold about a year after Soviet troops moved out, so different times completely of course.
