No sidelights, tail or rear foglights

Hi,

I have a 1981 SD1 V8 with no side, tail or foglights. They are all on the same fuse and that is ok. I have checked the relay and swapped it around with others and that doesn't solve it. I did notice the relay was quite warm. I've changed the switch and that hasn't helped. The light bulb holders all round are ok. The lights were all working, but don't, all of a sudden. Headlights, high & dipped beam work. Brake lights work.

Any thoughts/ideas welcome.

Go round it with a voltmeter to see where you have and have not got power, rather than the, what sounds like, scatter gun approach of just changing components. Apologies if that's not the case.
 
Also, don’t assume the fuse is ok unless you’ve checked with a multimeter. I had a visually good fuse test bad a while ago. Also, check the contacts in the fuse box are making a good solid contact with the fuse end.
 
ISTR these cars had a bulb failure warning light, operated by a unit on the RHS of the boot that used to give problems. Is the bulb failure warning light on?
