Don't give up just yet. My Range Rover is doing the same thing, it's currently in the car doctors getting checked out. I should have some information for you soon.

Thank you very much. I've replaced both control units and it's still the same. Let's hope for the best.

We have discovered that the issue wasn't anything in the sensors or computer... In my case it was cooling fan for the ECU. Thats why it ran ok cold but not when warm,,,,Fan lives in a box next to the computor drawing air from inside the cabin.

Hi. In my case, I’m not sure if the computer located under the passenger seat lacks an external fan—unless it has an internal one. Do you know anyone who is knowledgeable about the 1988 Rover 820 (140 hp)?
