Trim removal

Does anyone have a tool or can tell me what kind of tool it takes to remove the chrome trim on the fenders and doors.and what clips to replace them

Paint scraper to remove -


To put them back on -

Be aware they may have a square headed threaded stud at the ends to stop them sliding and getting bent by the adjacent panel.

plastic lever , tool so not to mark paint.they pop off but can break as age hardening over the years. New are available.easy to pop back on .

Push the trim down an lift out the bottom edge.

That depends on which way up the clips have been fitted.

Can’t see why as both sides pop under rolled edges of stainless strip?

Ok great information to have. I'm starting on doing the grinding in all the corrosion spots in the car and done if the trim needs to be removed so all your ideas are very helpful. Thanks all

Because the clips have three retainers, so it's best to remove the trim over the side that has the single retainer, which should be at the bottom
