Wipers all done. Delay sort of works, but I think the adjuster end on the column is dead - turns in both directions with no feel at all. Plugged the nipple on the wiper unit, and get about 5-7 secs of delay. Had some trouble getting the valance to sit down, and then starting the wiper spindle retaining nuts was a real pain - not really satisfied with that result, so I will have to go in there again.
Running like a bucket of bolts - staying too rich. On checking I found RH carb is wet at the choke fitting, so have ordered service kits for both. Sump gasket work has paid off, just a small weep from the plug (depite annealing the copper washer), but nothing around the gasket line.
Moved the Huco pump lower, down behind the windscreen washer.
Looking at the line of the throttle shaft from bulkead to engine it looks like the gearbox mount has sagged some, which wont help the gearchange stroke for reverse. Sadly I cant see any way to lift the rear at the mount and prop it up - the rubbers are completely contained inside the mount....suggestions as to how I might improve the alignment without major work appreciated. I fear that if I start by dropping the exhaust the manifold bolts will break or strip, and then they will have to come off to fix. Just hope I can live with it as is until I am ready to put the LT77 in.
