I'm in the process of rebuilding my V8 engine and I want to clean out the two oil ways that supply the cam followers. I've noticed at the back of the block, flywheel end, there are two large grubb screws, can these be removed to aid cleaning?
Thanks for the info, but I would like to keep my existing distributor and just get away with changing the oil pump to the P6 type, but I'm not sure if this will fit the SD1 cover. Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough on my original posting.
I have a front engine cover from an SD1 that I want to fit to my P6, I know that the oil pump/dist drives are different, is it just a simple matter of changing to the earlier oil pump drive?
