I have a strip speedo from a 2000 sc that was a right off in the 70`s FKR 931L with just 2400 miles on it. Its rusty as hell where its sat in the garage for the last 25 years when I removed it. It may or may not work but you are welcome to it if you have no luck with the cable.

As for the oil leak, my money is on the cylinder head `O` ring at the back. Well worth a good look as they have a habit of leaking when the rubber goes hard and leaks down the back of the engine.

morning Rich. With the recent chat about seat belt testing would it be an idea to put a link to the testers manual somewhere as a sticky so everyone can look at the requirments , it would be up to date with current testing. anyway just a thought. keep up the good work you do. regards Nick
Why not remove the oil pressure switch and give the hole a good squirt with an oil can, refit the switch and leave it a couple of hours to drain back through the oil gallery.

I did see the car in the flesh last year and it is a cracking car.
Personally I would source a 2200 tc engine and return it to `as was` speck.

Sure it wants striping and a few bits sorting out but in my view worth the money and effort.
