This has just happened.
All four indicators have suddenly given up flashing. Three days into receiving a fresh WOF/COF. too
Is it an earth issue? Have had a fiddle with the boot connection bundle next to the battery and still nothing
Any clues

It's probably the hazard light switch, because it is so little used the contacts can corrode up slightly and not make contact any more especially after being used after being dormant for a while. Try operating the switch a number of times until it starts to work again, if you can give it a squirt of switch cleaner as well, so much the better.

Thanks -I'll check that too.
hadnt realised it had significant importance to the system.
Cant think the last time I used it - must be years , and then not for any particular event, just to test the unit.

Hi, Yes it's quite an involved switch, both sides and the two flasher cans connect through it and as said with the little use it doesn't take much to lose continuity from corroded contacts of which there are many. Glad to be of help.

When I installed hazard lights I had 2 secondhand switches. Both needed cleaning and neither operated properly. In fact one half worked and had a resistance contact and heated up!

I had the same thing this week on my 2000, I also noticed temperature and fuel gauge died and then realised I had no brake lights. Tested the fuse and that was fine, finally tracked it down to the fact that the fuse holder needed cleaning. Simple as that .

Love all you guys.
I took the hazard switch out and gave it heaps with Wd40 electrical , little bit of ol' in an out on the switch, let it drip off and hey presto all four corner lit up like a xmas tree.
who would have thought?
Also noted a lot of dust build up behind the panel switches [50 odd yrs] ,blew that off and more WD electrical spray. Good for the next 50yrs.
Im a happy chappy now , thanks guys
