Exhaust manfolds

I need to change my manifolds bcz the holes for bolts are rotten .its 3500 auto not looking for anything fancy but what would be my best option
Plz
Cheers

Standard manifolds, in good order, no cracks, threads chased, new studs, new brass nuts! Don't bother painting them silver, it won't last! Honestly, if you drive it, leave them unpainted. No horsepower gain, but they'll bolt straight up to the downpipes you have. My tuppence worth.

Note that autos have different LHS and RHS manifolds, where the manuals are the same both sides. No idea if manuals would fit to auto downpipes.
Autos are 602693 and 612975, where mans are 613457.
Are the studs UNF both ends, or is one end UNC ?
thanks

Only autos equipped with an AED have different manifolds, once the AED is gone the manifolds are the same.

The auto downpipe olive is smaller than the manual so won't fit and seal properly.

Both ends of the studs are UNF

Yes, Thanks Harvey, helps a lot. My parts book talks about engine nos or suffixes but not AED being relevant.

I think Harvey should write a book, no joking, he really should. He could call it P6 - All the juicy bits in one serving !

Once the knowledge is gone, it's gone forever.

Give over, I have enough trouble reading books, let alone writing them....

Well I think you should scribble something. Take that BW 35 cable operated cam thingy that pressed on the valve piston doofer that was at the wrong angle causing all manner of shifting problems the other day - Who the hell else would know about that ?
There's dozens of them, someone should go through the forum and sticky them in a special place if there is no chance of a tome in the offing.

Fair point.
I guess I'll have to volunteer to sit next to you in the cafe at breakfast every morning scribbling away.

Of course H fry up for me, muesli for you, keeps your brain in tip top order.

Secretly I can see this idea sliding into oblivion, Oh well you had better not croak just yet !
