When I started the v8 at the weekend fuel poured on to the floor.
Found one float had filled with petrol and therefore not stopping fuel supply.
How is it that the float fills with fuel but you cannot get the fuel back out.
New floats on order.
It's sitting in petrol so even the tiniest perforation can, over time, allow petrol in. If you leave it out for the same period of time, it will come out.
wasn't aware there was a hit float issue. mien are OK though I did have to replace fuel valves ( float) twice! the rubber tipped ones were worse than the brass ones.
I think it’s because of their irregular shape and the long, flexible arm. Vibration shakes them and breaks the heat seal between the two halves of the nylon float.
