I am fitting a pair to an SU manifold in order to run on a 4.6. I want to prove the engine in the car before then possibly modifying the car to take other induction set up's and the easiest way is to make HS8's a bolt on application, then if I get issues with the new engine I can throw the old one back in quickly.Do you also run on HS8?

2:1 CABLE JUNCTION BOX - CARROT CYCLES
Can convert existing cable easy enough to pull on both carbs.
And a house brick for the throttle should sort the fast idle, as well as being handy for visiting the jewellers
Great to know it worked for someone else. Had 0.030" taken off my manifold faces and can now get on with port matching to heads and get the HS8 carbs fitted. That's the same as the one fitted to my P5B, fitted when we binned the AED. Pretty worn now but Harvey's already bullied me into fitting Hif6's so no matter.
Why the 0.030 off the faces? I thought the manifold fitted regardless of engine model, or have you skimmed the heads?0.030" off the faces and port matched to heads.
