hi all
I am after a steering lock complete with ignition for 3500 L reg auto would anybody have any idea where I could get hold of the said item. many thanks rob

IIRC there are a couple of different types with different multiplugs on them. I'm sure I have locks with keys here somewhere, but ideally I'd like to know what type you have and then I can go looking.

hi thanks for the reply it has a black multi plug 6 connectors ( 4 males/2 females) with 7 wires going into it, also there is a blue wire with a bullet connector with it if that's helps in any way ???. regards rob

I've had a quick look in the parts book and it seems there are 3 different ones for RHD. I'll have a look around tomorrow and if I find anything I'll get back to you with what I've got.

hi where about in Essex are you ? I am just the other side of the Dartford tolls I could bring my one over to you. regards rob

this is what the loom end and switch end look like if someone can help me. regards rob

Hi H
yes it is a britax but how do you get the old one out as I don't have a key plus I need to find the parts that I am missing for the switch, the bits we found are in the picture. rob

I have the complete lock with the wiring attached and the lock barrel in place with the correct key. The only thing that's different to what you have is that it doesn't have a multiplug, just 4 wires with bullet connectors.

hi H
looks like it could be back to "plan A" again

I see no reason why the Britax lock assembly I have shouldn't be a direct replacement for what you have if you work out which wire fits where in to the multiplug you have on your loom on the car. (And they're probably colour coded). AFAIK there is only one type of Britax lock.

Hi H I don't have the car here with me at the moment it is still in the chaps garage in London. regards rob
