OK I've been fiddling with a spare pair. All that's preventing you rotating the float chamber to a different angle is adapter AUD2063 as shown here:

It is notched to keep the float chamber vertical in applications like the 2000TC. Different adapters presumably give you different angles. Or you could just use simple spacers and adjust them to your heart's content.
Simon, if you'd like to PM me with an email address I can send you some photos of these carbs. The photos won't tell you much though, they just look like a pair of carbs that haven't been cleaned for a long while.
More crucially, the pistons are not seized and nothing is missing.
One of the flexible hoses is detached from the bottom of the float chamber and I remember from past experience that they can be a bit fiddly to refit (while on the car anyway).
I'd be happy with 20 GB pounds for the pair plus postage. I haven't removed them from the manifold yet so can't weigh them to get an accurate idea of the postage cost, but 3kg would cost around 14 GB pounds to send.
