Hello,
It's likely I'll need to replace my 35D distributor due to notable wear in the upper bush and probably all over (35 years service). I use Lumenition and would like to retain it due to years of service and confidence in it.
Looking around, it appears to be more cost effective to buy a new distributor from Accuspark or Simon BBC and strip out the electronic module than buy a refurbished OEM unit from Wadhams or Distributor Doctor and alike.
My question to existing Simon BBC users is have SimonBBC modified or changed the base plate when fitting their components so as to prevent using it to install the Lumenition system.
[Since posting this, I've found that the distributor chassis is different w.r.t. the baseplate and so no retro fitting of Lumenition is possible).
Many thanks,
Simon
