hello, on the off chance ... Do you happen to have a 1:3.7 differential for sale from a Wolseley or Riley 1500, a Morris Minor or some other compatible rear axle (perhaps Marina, Allegro etc. ) to fit a 1979 MG Midget 1500? Or a cheap but use-able j-type gear box with overdrive from...

    Airing slots in c(pillar)

Colin, yes over time water collects under the rear seat, in the small "pit" with all the other grott, but the metal there is sound (so far). The water finds its way into the double skinned area under the airing slots and ventures under the seats from the long-ish hole at about elbow height...

    driveshaft overhaul

Hello, I suppose this topic falls a bit inbetween gearboxes and Suspension. I need to replace the UJs on my driveshafts. One side in particular. My questions are: what parts do I need? (Ujs, de-dion gaitors etc.) what new seals and gaskets do I need? Is it ok to do one side at a time or should...

throttle linkage SU HIF6  2200 SC - Tricks to stop the play

Re: throttle linkage SU HIF6 2200 SC - Tricks to stop the play All is well that ends well. The problem really never was the throttle linkage. The old carburettor (now replaced with one overhauled by Gower and Lee (bless!)) suffered from "Hunting". The fuel mixture was set too low, so...
