You have to get all the water out of the system. Can't see the point really. Best bet Fernox Alphi 11, suits old cars very well and lasts a long time. Yes, I know its for central heating, but, think about it. I'll try to find a link

While I'm restoring my 1969 Three Thousand Five several cars have come and gone. But the most recent runners are a 1993 280 Mercedes, a 1995 518i BMW and a 1980 Silver Spirit.
