    S type steering Wheel

Hi, Many thanks, the PAS kit on eBay is still available, and I await a second response from the guy selling it on how he wants to proceed. Great stuff, thanks all round for the encouragement. My wife may yet drive the FKR this summer! Ian

Yeah, Bruce, Glen, whatever. That's what happens when people use anonymous IDs! Ian

Useful information, Glen. Thanks very much. I'll keep looking. Ian

    S type steering Wheel

That's the plan now. The reconned kit has been quoted today at £550, or £250 just for the bits. Does this l seem in line? Ian

    S type steering Wheel

Thanks for the prompt reply, Glen. No need to guess-the PAS wheel has a pair of flat aluminium spokes, while I think the non-PAS has black ones. However, the difference in leverage is less than an inch, so it won't change my wife's conviction that she can't drive it, so I'll pass this time...

    S type steering Wheel

Hi Glen, I have just realised that my 3500S has a PAS sized steering wheel, (but no PAS). My wife refuses to drive it, because of the difficulty parking. Is the wheel on offer full size and still available? Thanks, Ian

    Driver's door mirror

But can't we be tri-polar? When I'm a pedestrian I hate drivers and cyclists; as a cyclist, I hate pedestrians and drivers; and the complementary feelings occur when I'm a driver - but we have to sublimate our animal instinct for the greater good of society. Yes, I have been drinking, but not...

    Driver's door mirror

I'd be very happy to do a swap, if you don't mind invalidating your insurance (undeclared modifications and all that stuff). There are mirrors on e-Bay that are ALMOST right, but I hope to get a matching one before too long. I used to be a Beetle owner, and still have an equivalent mirror for...

    Driver's door mirror

Hi Chris, I have so far failed to get any pictues posted, despite several attempts, and helpful advice - I cannot get them small enough! If I can be so cheeky as to ask you to post a picture of what you may have, and accompany it with simple instructions comprehensible to an old man, of what you...

    Driver's door mirror

Anybody got a driver's door mirror with 3.25in. long chrome plated base with SS mirror back directly attached? (To match n/s one I already have.) The previous owner crafted a beautiful mirror which fits on the door-frame, but it has a very long non-moving rod between the mirror head and the...

    Fog light dates.

Thanks for the help, but all I got was a message that the image I tried to load was invalid. Any ideas what I am doing wrong, anybody? And why didn't my signature appear in the preview? Why am I so old? Ian

    Fog light dates.

Many thanks, KiwiRover. Your information will make the job a cinch. Ian This is a completely new tack - but how do you get the pictures, etc. attached to the posts? I'd like to let people see my Rovers!

    Fog light switch

A fantastic summary of something that has caused me a lot of head-scratching these past few days. I will fit my Dad's old lights on a new circuit. Thanks, lads.

    Fog light dates.

I am pleased to see that there were some round lamps fitted to P6s, since I have inherited a pair of round ca. 1970 round Lucas lamps when I cleared out my father's garage. I intend to fit them to my 1972 3500s, despite the non-originality, the nostalgia rules. However, so far I haven't found...

    Bits For free.

Delighted to see the round driving lamps on your car since I have a pair that I will fit as soon as I can find the elusive red/yellow wire that is supposed to be around to connect to. Any idea where I will find it hidden?

    MPH/1000RPM

Oh...and let's see some pics of your car! I'd love to, but being old and feeble, can't figure out how to attach them, or an avatar! These computer thingies'll never catch on. Many thanks for the prompt info. Very helpful

    MPH/1000RPM

Hi to all, I'm a new member with a 1972 3500S with a wobbly speedo. Until I sort this out, can anyone tell me the mph/100rpm in each gear so that I have chance of staying within the speed limits - the speed on my sat-nav is too small print? Ian Adamson
