Yes has alloy head and su carb. Have had land rover since 1985 but put series 3 diesel in, now truly worn out thought it sensible to rebuild original engine while parts are available, and I still have the motivation, The internet really is an amazing tool. Thanks for your help Ali

Thanks for coming back so quickly, I assume it is from the p4 ,I have no history of the engine and the engine number doesn't seem to tie up with land rover numbers, Any idea if I have to torque down by amounts before final setting ? Or just gradually round and and round till I get there. Thanks Ali

Hi anyone I wonder if any of you have the torque settings and tightening order for a rover 60 head? I am blessed with a rover 60 engine in my late 40s land rover , have finally stripped and am rebuilding it but can't find the information anywhere. Many thanks Ali Russell
