The adjustment knob for the windscreen wiper variable speed on my 72 TC ( which is on the steering column) is just a white plastic item with grooves on it. Should it have a proper black knob on it? If it should has anyone got a spare one?

I have just ordered a new seal from Wins in the UK as my drivers door seal has a bit missing from the rubber due to wear. I will keep the old one now thanks to the advice given here! Before I start can someone tell me if the seal is a push fit or does it need glue/sealant? Perhaps it may be...

OK there is a leak of fluid from the steering box. Does anyone know a likely suspect for the area of leaking and can it be stopped without removing the steering box which looks to me like a bit of a difficult job!

OK I take the point , if there is a leak of the oil I have put in it I will admit defeat!!

The previous owner who is honest but not technically inclined says there have been no oil leaks over the three years he has had the car. He had it serviced at a local garage so I reckon the garage never checked the steering box oil level!!!! He wanted the car to have a full paper service...

It's funny how you look at complicated solutions( well I do!!) when you should check the simple things first. The car has a very good service record but obviously nobody bothered to check the oil in the steering box ( me included) after a quick check I could not see the surface of any oil in it...

I suppose this has been covered here before but after a tense muscle bending few minutes trying to park up my newly acquired Rover 2000TC I was wondering if it is possible to retro fit the power steering off the 3500 to my car and if anyone had any tips as to how to go about it?

The oil pressure gauge on my 1972 2000TC shows about half reading ( 50 psi) on switch on and then up to 100 psi when the engine is running. I have found the sender and it has two contacts on it but only one wire connected. Should there be another wire connected? The oil pressure warning light...

Car is sleeping at the moment due to excessive rain up here in Cumbria so can't get at it to sort out the problem. Also noticed that there is no red oil light coming on when the ignition is turned on. Will short out connector for sensor under oil filter to check if it is a sensor problem or duff...
