    'Undercover' Police P6's...

We've still got a classic fleet at work, including a few marked Rovers, the blue armour plated P6 used by special branch, an SD1 and an 827, both ex traffic cars. They appear quite regularly at Fetes, exhibitions and shows. We have no unmarked cars though, because by their very nature they are...

    What size/number battery for a 1973 3500s ?

I bought a battery off the shelf from kiwk fi, perfect fit and capacity etc. Was about £60 but that was 18 months ago. It was in their stock list and as above it was on the shelf. Might be worth giving them a ring.

I must apologise, I read your post quickly and didn't take note of the "mechanical" fuel pump, I was referring to electric pumps, so my post is of no use to you Sorry.

    WANTED mechanical fuel pump

Next time you are on line, check out e bay. I've both bought and sold fuel pumps there. I've also bought one from Winns, a supplier who advertised in the P6 News Magazine, haven't got his details to hand though.

    P6 print / ebay

This is the site from which the picture came. www.koolart.co.uk/ It's incorrectly listed as a Rover P5 which is probably why no one has noticed it.

That design's been around for ages. My wife showed me a t shirt with it on a couple of years ago, probably from the same company.

    Fuel vapourisation/ rough gear selection

I bought a length of flexible fuel line from my local car spares shop on the high street to replace a perished section. If I remember rightly it was only about 20p per inch. Did the job perfectly.

Starter problems - 'click, click, click, click'

I used a solar powered charger on mine, which did the trick, even in winter. Obviously you'll need a window in your garage to let the light in, or you'll have to invest in a waterproof solar cell. Dave

Rear Seat Belts - Resr Seat Belts

Mine had rear seat belts fitted, made by a company called securon, after market items retro fittted. There have been numerous suggestions about appropriate belts on previous threads. It would appear from these that fitting is realtively easy. Dave.

Electric Fuel Pump - pro's, con's, price, time?

Keep your eye on e bay, I've got a silver top facet pump which I'll be putting up for sale next week when I get back from holiday. This is more than sufficient to cure any vapour lock problems you may come across. It's easily fitted, with a live feed, the mounting to the car is your earth...

electric fuel pumps - which electric pump

I got my facet pump from Wins International, who regularly advertise in P6 News, same sort of price about £65 when I got mine. Not necessarily the cheapest, but he knows what he's talking about and quick delivery. I did once make the mistake of visiting his store, its like an alladins cave of...

    winguard mirror glass

I've just put mine through an MOT and used a piece of the universal plastic cut to shape, as the existing mirror was cracked. This was sufficient for the mot test, but isn't as good as a glass mirror. Dave.

What battery - Battery for v8

I'm fortunate enough that the garage my cars in has a large window that lets in plenty of light, so my charger will simply sit on the window sill. I'm guessing it will need a certain level of light so will really depend upon your garage. I must admit I didn't do much research just looked on E...

What battery - Battery for v8

Mike, Thanks for the Kwik fit idea, I hadn't considered that and had visions of visiting several motor factors before striking lucky. A 10 minute drive to my local Kwik fit and I was sorted. I must admit I've never had much faith in this type of places but I was pleasantly suprised. The bloke...

What battery - Battery for v8

I find myself in the position of needing a new battery for my V8. I have read all the above and have removed my battery box to take with me as I seek out a new one. Does anyone have anything to add to the previous replies or can suggest a "must have " in the way of batteries. Any...
