    P6 Spotted in London

Hi - it's my old bus, haven't been on here for a few years as was working abroad, this is my daily driver and I've owned it for quite a few years. Maintained by Clive in Derby, recently re sprayed (same colour). Thanks for the interest. :D

    Hello from a (hopefully) soon-to-be first-time owner

Hi Del Nice to hear from another smoke dweller... one BIG advantage about owning a P6 in London is that everyone treats them with utter respect... Cabbies are great, delivery drivers smile, even bus drivers give way - and that must be a first.. perhaps it's the thought of ramming speed and a...

    22TC Exhaust Valve

'It lives - the beast lives!' Final chapter - humpty is all back together again thanks to the stering efforts of Paul in a little back street workshop just off Sheperds Bush. One of those guys who just seems to know all the old tricks of the trade and an utter delight to work with. If it's ok...

    22TC Exhaust Valve

Once again thank you for your kind replies. The update - exhaust valve on 4 given up the ghost, the other 3 not vey happy with themselves. It would appear that once upon a time, long before my custody, someone replaced valves but didn't leave any clearance. Any road up, new valves ordered, head...

    22TC Exhaust Valve

Thank you all very much for your considered replies, much appreciated. I do a lot of work myself, but living in central London means everything has to be done on the street. Luckily the recovery driver knew of a guy who works on MG's and Austins. He did a compression test and No4 was not very...

    22TC Exhaust Valve

Never rains but it pours... M1, midnight, recovery truck, say no more... Pressure test reveals No4 cylinder doing nothing very much, Mechanic (MG Bloke, seems to know his stuff), suggests exhaust valve is culprit. Car hasn't idled well recently, loss of power on motorway drive, lots of cutting...

    transmission noise

Hi My 22TC has been kicking up a bit of noise from rear end. My friendly airport mechanic has had a look and apparently the prop shaft is rubbing on the cross member. There is a central bearing(?) which no longer seems capable of supporting shaft clear of frame. Forgive my lack of technical...

    picture style driving licence

If you have the credit card style d.lic check the expiry date - DVLA neglected to mention they are only valid for 10 years and it's up to you to renew same - at £17 odd quid - if you are out of date plod will fine you and your insurance will be in-valid. The expiry date is on the front - in...

    TV Cop in P6?

ITV seem to be trailling a new plod drama with that bloke that used to be Judge, Martin somebody-or-other, would appear his chosen set of compulsory wheels is a P6, didn't catch what model, but at least it's better than an old jag!

    Fuel leak

I dunno, spot of sun and everything smells of fuel! ... or maybe its opening the window for the first time in months. Darned if I can see what's causing this, wore my magi specs as well (25 bubble joe wrappers twenty years ago, think I was done). Gonna have to employ younger, less blind eyes...

CALLING ALL P6 OWNERS - FREE FOOD FREE DRINK

Hi guys that's my birthday - and I'm working.. really do need to get a grip of my diary, sigh. I'm live in central London as does my old TC - doesn't half confuse the tourists and traffic wardens! Sorry I can't attend, but would be grateful to be kept up-to-date of any events - anything to...

    Co2 outout

Hi I have the misfortune to live within Uncle Ken Livingstones congestion charge zone. News released today - from Oct 08 the CC goes up to £25 a day for vehicles emitting over 220gms Co2 - and/or cars registered above 3.0lts engine size. Anyone any idea what a 2.2TC pushes out running on...

    Hello

Just saying 'hi' and 'thank you' for advice and links gained from this site over the past year. My much loved 22TC is due back on the road in a few weeks, having lived a sleepy Hedgehog life in Scotland over the winter. I will try and post some pics soon, but I'm not fully checked out on this...
