    Anyone going to Woburn 13/5?

It's the P4 drivers guild meeting but they're welcoming P6 owners too. I'll be there (VEL 827J), just thought I'd ask.

    2 way Mirrors

Yes, I was watching them (although I only need a n/s mirror). Funny place ebay, if you get two/three people wanting the item then the price can go way up & if not, well, witness the fact that I've just sold on ebay today a childs cabin bed that went for under £10 & a pine bookcase that went for...

    Replacing gear lever

In an effort to cure the terminal rattling of my gear lever, I've purchased a second hand replacement, figuring that it cannot be any worse then the existing! The existing lever is liberally smeared with grease around the nylon collar. Am I advised to do the same with the replacement or is it...

    engine swap

Put in the 2200 engine & join the club. Mines a 2000 with a 2200 engine. I didn't do it myself but it seems to have been a fairly painless swap! The little extra bit of power would be welcome too I'm sure!

Clutch Fluid type - What to use?

According to the handbook my 2200 needs Lockheed 329S Amber fluid. Is there a suitable equivelant available from Halfords? Can I use their "universal" brand? Or do I have to track down something else?!

    Clutch creep

Yep, 1st is sometimes a little sticky! Cant's see any obvious leaks around either cyclinder & the fluid level seems OK.

    Clutch creep

If you sit at idle in gear with your foot on the clutch, the car will, after a short period, start to creep forward. On one occassion, it jammed in 1st & I had to switch off to disengage. I believe this indicates a need for a new master cylinder but can anyone confirm?

Alright, here's MY new money pit!

Thanks again....I managed to discover what one of the fuses does by blowing it as I was fitting a new clock! I also picked up a copy of the Rover 2000/2200 workshop manual.

Alright, here's MY new money pit!

Thanks Chrisy, you've just saved my sanity. I had been looking for a fusebox in the glove box (having found the smaller unit under the bonnet)! Can you tell me which fuse does what? It has another "anomoly" too. I ordered a replacement starter having described the vehicle as a 1971 2000 with...

Anyone running their 2200 on unleaded?

Just been ordering a couple of parts from one of the P6 specialist suppliers & in the course of the conversation, I was told that the SC engine will run on unleaded, without additive although the ignition may need retarding. No reason to doubt the info but is anyone doing this?
