    Anyone going to Woburn 13/5?

It's the P4 drivers guild meeting but they're welcoming P6 owners too. I'll be there (VEL 827J), just thought I'd ask.

    Replacing gear lever

In an effort to cure the terminal rattling of my gear lever, I've purchased a second hand replacement, figuring that it cannot be any worse then the existing! The existing lever is liberally smeared with grease around the nylon collar. Am I advised to do the same with the replacement or is it...

Clutch Fluid type - What to use?

According to the handbook my 2200 needs Lockheed 329S Amber fluid. Is there a suitable equivelant available from Halfords? Can I use their "universal" brand? Or do I have to track down something else?!

    Clutch creep

If you sit at idle in gear with your foot on the clutch, the car will, after a short period, start to creep forward. On one occassion, it jammed in 1st & I had to switch off to disengage. I believe this indicates a need for a new master cylinder but can anyone confirm?

Anyone running their 2200 on unleaded?

Just been ordering a couple of parts from one of the P6 specialist suppliers & in the course of the conversation, I was told that the SC engine will run on unleaded, without additive although the ignition may need retarding. No reason to doubt the info but is anyone doing this?

Alright, here's MY new money pit!

Thought I'd post a couple of pics. Shes a 1971 series 2 P6 2000 with a 2200 engine. I'm avoiding showing the n/s as there's a stonking great dent in the wing which I'm having fixed in the next month or so, along with a scratch on the bonnet & the surprisingly few other areas than need a bit of...

    Engine number...where is it?

Quick Q, where would I find the engine no. on the 2200 SC?

    2000/2200 differences?

Just picked up my P6 which is a 1971 model, built as a 2000 but re-engined at some stage with a 2200SC lump. Was it just the block that was different? Were the ancillary items for the two engines the same? For instance, I think I need a new starter motor so should I look for one that suits a...
