3500S estate value?

The time is soon to arrive when I have to reduce my car collection.

Basically - I am currently selling a 3500 auto estate in need of restoration, (I havent advertised with the club as 99% of the members are in the UK and I am not)

However I will also be selling either my 3500S 5 speed estate or my 2000TC - ie whichever goes first)

Not being the best expert on selling cars - what do you reckon the minimum value is for a 5 speed 3500S estate is (apparently under 10 3500S esstate conversions were done).

We changed the gearbox from the 4 speed to the 5 speed SD1 box about 3 years ago

Not in perfect condition, but very tidy and road legal (and the "MOT" tests here are a lot "stiffer" than in the UK) and very good visually and I would say mechanically as well - loads of money spent on her over the years.

Yours is not the only 5 speed Estate about.

Whilst on Holiday in Devon about 20 years ago in my Auto Estate I happened upon an Almond Estate in Ilfracoombe.

I got talking with the owner and shared a great evening chatting with him and his Wife. He had converted his to a 5 speed. His was a rare manual to start with.

IMHO I dont consider that the conversion will add to the value, neither do I consider that it will reduce the value. With petrol prices the way they are ( you are in Oz are'nt you ?) I reckon the 5 speed might make it more saleable.

As to value. P6 Estates are an acquired taste. I reckon about £3,500 to £5,000 for a tidy useable example is about right.

My own one sold for £3,000. It then made £4,995 about a year later and was said to have made £15,000 when sold in Germany. it then failed to sell on ebay when brought back to the UK. The present owner paid about £5,000 for it around 18 months ago. Oddly its now in Devon again.

Mine was a very good auto which I reckon was 9/10 for condition.
