4 cylinder engine Numbers

Hi All,

I am looking to check the details of an engine I have.

The number begins 436 which I know is a 2000 series 2 engine but not sure if this should be sc or tc or what compression ratio is.

Any suggestions.

Hello Arthuy,
436....... signifies a 2000SC with a comp ratio of 9:1 built between September 1970 and September 1973 according to the James Taylor book. Hope this helps.
