Hi all,

I've got the remains of a 74 P6B that I need to get rid of.

It's a rolling chassis, with diff, gearbox, engine block still in place
Has rust in the chassis, four doors, bonnet

Basically useful for spare mech parts

4 miles from M1 J12

If not removed this weekend, then goes to the scrappers on Monday morning

It's a rolling chassis with four doors, engine block, gearbox etc..

Doesn't really need photos to explain that

Ally bonnets oxidise, corrode, break down, turn to powder!!and some people think it is the same as rust!
Some people dont ever realise they are ally!!
Same result though its still rot!!
Far better to source rot free doors!!
Anyway,if anybody is interested in saving/using his parts, the only way to tell is to go and look!!
As descriptions and opinions of condition vary, and pics wont tell the whole story!!

Good luck chrisw, hope it can help somewone out for spares!!

Yep, went to the crusher on Monday morning.. only thing left out the back are a series 1 2000 bonnet and a series 2 V8 bonnet with a little oxidisation going on around where the badge was..

The doors were rotten. It really was only good for the gearbox, drive train and diff

Agreed. Steve Walker has some new door skins, pricey but after the time & effort needed to make rotten doors look servicable it's probably worth it. I paid a tenner for a lovely S1 rear door a couple of years back which just happened to come to me via an ebay vendor from whom I'd bought something else. Turns out I needed two for the Bruiser (my brother said it wasn't worth messing about with the originals) & I got the second from Rich Moon for £85 which I was happy to pay as I needed it immediately, phoned Rich & he had one. Right door at the right time. Mind you, that Wedgewood blue is gloopy stuff even after all these years. Clogged up the sanding disc's like Billy 'O'.

I'd have been happy to make use of the gearbox, but as with all these things there wasn't really any chance of me getting there to remove it before the deadline, and the whole car was not an option as I had no means of collecting it, and nowhere to store it either.
