Hi mick
Don't worry too much, I am paranoid where electrics are concerned
If you have taken the feed from the top of the fuse box, i.e. where the coil is fed from, it is NOT fused. I am assuming that you have the under dash fuse box (in the passenger knee bin)
If you can take it from the bottom of the fuse which the horns normally run from (Sparky's is 1-2, and probably is on yours too - better check though), then you have plenty of capacity, and the advantage of being able to use them without the ignition on.
If you are ok with using the coil wire, then you can just put an in line fuse in your feed from it.
My personal preference is to have a clean coil wire, with no connections, again because off a bad experience with those horrible little blue scotch block things which gave me an intermittent misfire.
Richard
PS I bet they shock a few people 8)
