ALL THE ROVERS ARE GOING TO PETWORTH ON SUNDAY 2 SEPTEMBER

This is the Rover P6 Club National Rally at wonderful Petworth House, Petworth, GU28 0AE on Sunday 2 September to which all Rovers are welcome to attend.

Classes for entry are Rover P6, pre-1949 Rover, Rover P4, Rover P5, Rover SD1, and Modern (Post 1986) Rover so you are all welcome. Some of us are meeting at the Case is Altered at 7.50AM ready to leave there at 8am for the drive to Petworth (B466/B467/A40/M40/M25/A3/A283/A272). The journey is about 60 miles.

There is a breakfast bar open for us on the A283 approximatelly 2 miles from Petworth House where hot drinks, breakfasts and rolls can be purchased so we plan to stop off there on route.

Anyone going to Petworth is welcome to join us at the Case is Altered which is about 15 minutes from the M1, M25 and M40. Please e-mail or pm via the forum me to let me know your Name and Rover model if you are joining us at the Case is Altered.[/ So if you are coming from Essex, Herts, Bucks, NW london or indeed anywhere why not drop in on the way!

If you have not been to the Case is Altered before this is where it is:

Location: About 15 minutes from the M1, M25 AND M40 The Case is Altered is on the B466 out of Pinner Green. Coming from Hatch End you follow the A404 Uxbridge Road to the traffic lights at Pinner Green. Turn left at these lights towards Pinner. After a couple of hundred yards turn right into West End Lane. After about 300 yards turn fight into High View. At the end of High View turn left into Cuckoo Hill (B466) which becomes Eastcote High Road (B466). You will see the pub on your right about 2 minutes drive after turning into the B466. It is set back from the road immediately before Southill Lane.

Hope to see everyone at Petworth. You might win your class or you might just go there for the fun. Either way I am sure you will have a great day. So if you have not got a ticket send for one now but act quickly as there is not long to go.

On a personl note, I'd really like to see some of the people on here who have semi customised or even full phat look P6's come along. I quite fancy the idea of giving a couple of the older members a bit of a shock and we're mainly all very tolerent and interested really!

I will also meet at the case, lets fill that car park with Rovers and have the biggest rover convoy ever. So even one from Herts, bucks, beds, cambs, Essex, east London and north London join the convoy and may be we can meet others on route. Thats all have a great day..... :wink:

:idea: Think we should post on here if we are attending Petworth and joining the convoy...

I'll be stopping overnight in W9 on Friday, so I may join up with you all on Saturday morning. Will be going straight along Westway to the M25. You lot coming round the N Circular??

Michael, our route is above in Tony's post. If your traveling to Petworth on Saturday as stated then you will be there before us :?
 
Thanks Guy, Just read back and saw that now. Don't know how I didn't see it first time!

Yeah, I'll probably be there earlier - got a few things to sort out for regalia and what not.... plus an engine bay to polish after the 300 mile run! :wink:

This is probably about as local as it could be for me, and I was planning on it being my first show with the Green Hornet.
Somehow I had stored it in my head as later september :?
I'll be in Greece until a few days after, I too was looking forward to meeting and greeting most of you :LOL:
I hope the weather holds out and you all take plenty of photos

Marks Brown 2200tc is sick have to come in a more modern Rover :( :oops:
