Hello all,

I know its way off topic but as its more a reg number question that a jaguar specific question i thought i`d give it a go.

Has anyone ever seen or know to a red XJ6 with the reg number HRK 1 as have just received a heritage certificate for my 1969 XJ6 and have found out that its original reg was HRK 1 and was supplied by P J Evans of birmingham, i have checked and that reg is now on a 1995 red XJ6 that according to DVLA is still taxed, i would very much like to find the owner of the car/reg to see if they have any knowledge of my car in the hope of trying to retrace its istory, i have obtained previous keeper history from DVLA but unfortunately it only goes back as far as 1979 so i have a ten year gap to fill from first date of reg (1969).

Any information would be much appreciated

Regards
Paul.

Is there any way of finding the current keepers details without paying?

Am I right in saying with the DVLA they will give it you if you pay only?

Best of luck with your search

DVLA, will give a current owner all the recorded keeper info they have on file,as he already has.
There was an incident that means a lot of records were lost back then.

The only hope is writing to the DVLA and saying you think it likely the 1st owner still owns the private plate, and can you have his current details,or would they forward your info to him!
Worth a go!!
