Are all brake lines interchangable?

Hi, I've just recieved a new set of Goodridge steel braided brake lines (SRV0100-4). I specifically ordered the set with 4 lines instead of SRV0100-3 with 3 lines, which Goodridge oddly enough recommends for the 2000 TC.

As accessing the rear lines are a bit of a fuss, I'd like to ask you before starting: Are all the brake lines on a 2000 TC identical? I.e. Can I use the Goodridges to replace all of them? One of the rear lines look a bit different, with a steel spring wound around it.

Is this line of different length/fittings, and could this be the reason why the standard Goodridge kit only has 3 lines?

IIRC, the rear flexible brake line with the coiled plastic or metal cover is different than the flexible line which connects the two rear calipers.

Base to caliper hose:
* shorter than caliper to caliper hose
* has coiled cover to help protect this exposed hose against flying rocks, etc..
* one metal connector has a tapered end to connect with special fitting at the end of the steel brake line attached to the base unit
*** the metal connector at the opposite end has a flat surface to connect with the casting of the right rear caliper

Caliper to caliper hose:
* longer than base to caliper hose
* each of the two metal connectors at the end of the hose has a flat surface in order to connect with each of the two caliper castings

Each of the hose connectors with a flat end needs a special metal washer as it connects to the caliper body.

The caliper to caliper hose has the same ends as the body to caliper hose, because it screws directly into one caliper, and connects to a short metal brake pipe on the other one, not directly into it.

SOD IT I've twisted the copper pipe

Damn! Whilst fiddling about with the front left brake line, I managed to twist the copper brake pipe to which it connects in the engine bay.

I admit it was stupid, I just unscrewed the flexible hose a few turns without knowing that the pipe would simply follow. I twisted it back again, and it looks okay... didn't fold or crack as far as I can see.

Does anybody know whether it's okay or are my eyes decieving me? Should I just replace it to be on the safe side? Aargh!

I think I'd want to change it .It won't be the same if it's been twisted and twisted back

My idea is to hold the nut on the pipe in a spanner and unscrew the flexi hose instead .This avoids twisting the pipe if it's stuck
