Hi all.

With luck me and my TR6 will be joining the team and other classics on the Classics Monthly stand at the Beaulieu Autojumble this coming weekend."sat 12-sun13 sept"
For those who read it, Classics Monthly have recently done a write up on rebuilding a straight six engine "Oct edition".
And its your truly and my TR6 that adorn the cover! :p

Seeing as I was only a spec in my magnum shirt in the TRaction shots, this makes up for it!
So if you are going to the autojumble, drive a P6 or a TR or any other classic car come to that,,come along and say hi.
I look forward to meeting you.
Lets hope the weather stays good as I wont be going if its hissing down,as I have to camp out,and I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to floating tents! ;)

CHEERS!! Dave

You've scrubbed up well there Dave, don't suppose they had any models with long legs and heels to sprawl over your TR did they??

It's too far for me to do the trip again, but I might have a think for a shopping list you could take for me :D :D

No problem Brian!!
If anyone else is still searching for that elusive part,PM me your needs and budget, and I will see what I can find for you!
I will only buy the parts if the condition is good enough for an easy resto or very good and useable.
Basically , if I would be happy to buy it and use it as is, or restore it easily, and the price is not stupid,I will buy it for you.
Obvoiusly a p/p cost to you will be involved!!
Bear in mind I will not have room for large items in the TR6 what with camping stuff etc,so think small, like switches, knobs, badges, and not too heavy either!!
I will take my rucksack/backpack for any parts I buy,as that will sit happily on my passenger seat on top of the camping duvet!

Hi Dave.
No, mine was a new factory unit fitted in 1985 with only 15k done since.
They have a GT6 and as that engine needs doing they have done the article about it!!

Yes - the one on the shelves now - October 2009. The article on 'Scrap the Modern' on page 20.

I have to say, she does look the best of the bunch!

Hi Dave,

Thanks, yes the carpet does look rather good - if I say so myself.

I did a post in members projects back at the beginning of the year about putting those in. They do make you curse a bit, but well worth it.
I got them from Coverdale.

Bri.
