Been doing a nasty job on the Jag!

That looked like a fun job, I've had something similar on 800 rear suspension before, bolt was seized into the bush tube, thought I'd free'd it off, only to find the whole bush rotating in the housing.

Luckily I was only after the arms to refurb for my main car, so I left them where they were !

There is a lot to be said for removing all these bolts and applying plenty of copper grease and putting them back together, just so it will be easier to deal with later.

I replaced the Jags rear dampers today, quite a simple spannering job with no problems!!
Just learnt my way around the set up slowly on the n/s and then the o/s was easy.
It was the bottom bushes that were knocking and rumbling, tops were fine and damper operation is fine,so will pick up a pair of bushes when I spot some cheap and refurb them for spare stock.
Now drives as smooth as it should do,and yes I remembered to mark the lower arm pivoted camber bolts before removal!
Now if Jaguar had the foresight to design in an access hole in the boot or behind the seats it would of been as easy as doing P6 rears!
Next job is change gearbox oil and filter, but no rush to do that, gives me time to source the parts at the best price.

Disc, caliper, hub, drive shaft unit connected to the lower arm that mounts the spring, damper and antiroll bar.
Simple, effective and easy to work on.
Its not quite the same as an XJ6/S in a cage set up,but similar in principle.
