I've seen several suppliers offering these bonnet buffers and that 6 are required. That's perplexed me. I've studied my bonnet and can't find any - so obviously mine perished a long time ago and fell off!
What I did see, and this has confused me for ages, is that I have 3 holes on the bonnet on each side (hmmm that equals 6 !) and I never knew what these holes were for. Could these bonnet buffers be a "spacer" between the bonnet and the wing to prevent rubbing/vibration? (hmmm that would keep some of my road noise down too!)
Your help as always is much appreciated.
