Hi guys I have a dodgy brake switch. 1972 P6b. No stop lights. Switch unit sits below the servo.
Listening to disappointment from others on here after getting a "new" after market replacement. These are not up to quality and break down in a short time.
I havn't removed the broken switch yet as others have said "swap over immediately" so as not to loose fluid.
Therefore I havn't had a chance to clean out any accumulated gunk in the unit should that be the cause. Have done the physical insitu test and it appears dodgy.
Im on the search for a 2nd hand unit off another era vehicle - any make or model. Ford Morris Rootes etc
Has anyone ever done an alternative vehicle search for this brake switch ? This would expand my view as to where to look in the 2nd hand dept.
yours
Gerald
