Is there much support for this ? I've not been for a couple of years as I found it too crowded for my liking and my poor old V8 got too hot in the queue to get in

Dave
I've got a 3 car stand for the Rover P6 Club
If you want to join Bill Eve with his Purple South African 3500 you are more than welcome.
I haven't been to Bromley for several years, not sure yet if I can do it.
Cheers

My V8 is having a rest till I get round to doing some work on it
But how does a South African 3500 differ from a UK spec ?
I don't think I could face Bromley if it was this hot

It's Purple?? ??? :;): :D
If you've not seen Bill Eve's car you haven't lived. It was built from a CKD kit in 1971 and is the P5 colour of Bordeaux Red. Interior and other bits are locally made. Never seen another one like it.

Here's some photos:

It's got a locally made vinyl roof that has faded to an almost suede effect over the years. Stunning.

Under da hood. Base unit painted body colour. The car was beautifully restored in the 1990's.

Under bonnet label.

Interior has a lot of locally made components. The seats are leather but in a very different type of material than Solihull used.

Car is a UK 1971 model (spot the large choke knobs etc). It was in South Africa for the first year or so of it's life and bought back.

Headlining and sun visors all South African made.

Cheers

"Nice one Centurion, like it, like it"
Bordeaux eh? That would go nicely with our P5B & Auntie too with her stone & Maroon livery. Love that Purple carpet. Look forward to seeing it at a show sometime.
