CALLING ALL P6 OWNERS - FREE FOOD FREE DRINK

I am organising a P6 summer evening gathering., this event is open to everyone. The date is yet to be confirmed but it is likely to be late July 08 or early Aug 08, and on a Saturday Evening. The event will take place at the following location.

Cobtree Cabin Cafe
Cobtree Manor Country Park
Forstal Road
Aylesford Kent. (nearest postcode ME20 7AH)

I aim to place an ad in the May & June club mag. For this first meeting I will lay on free food and drink to all who attend. You may bring your wife or partner. 60s and 70s music will be played at a medium to loud volume, so adjust your hearing aids.
Anyone who may be interested in attending, please post your name on this topic, and then pm me with your contact number and address, I may give you a call or send you an official invite. I need to know how many may come, for viability and food reasons.

This should make for a good evening, Im a new member, so its a good way of getting to know others,.....and obviously Im mad.

I have now fixed a date for this meeting as Saturday 5th July 2008.

Meet time 7PM. I will be serving those in attendance, Hot dogs or Burgers, and Chips. plus Free Teas and Coffees.

Nice to meet our club Chairman, Mr Paul Smith, at my Cafe last week. Paul is getting a band of Merry Men (and women I hope) together from the Dartford Area for the Meeting at COBTREE CABIN AYLESFORD[/B], could be as many as 20.

Look out for my ad in the next club mag, if you fancy coming along, dont leave it till you see the the ad, let me know on here please. It should be a lot of fun.

Especially if the weather is nice.
Paul, as soon as you have some reliable information on numbers, can you let me know, and if any other club officials can contribute, that would be great.

As mentioned there will be food available to all who come, loads of Parking around the Cabin, Good music, and adj lavatories.

THE VENUE IS 2 MINS FROM THE M20 (MAIDSTONE), 6 MINS FROM THE M2 AT (CHATHAM).

that's my birthday - and I'm working.. really do need to get a grip of my diary, sigh.
I'm live in central London as does my old TC - doesn't half confuse the tourists and traffic wardens!

Sorry I can't attend, but would be grateful to be kept up-to-date of any events - anything to take full advantage of my inner London congestion charge residents waiver!!

We should be able to attend & hopefully will have a choice of cars to attend in. Could maybe bring two but that means I won't be able to bring along a few bottles of good English ale so we'll probably bring one car & my better (sober :D ) half can drive home.

I am sure that you will be feeling a little poorly a day or 2 before! :p with stomach cramps,sneezing,or some other 24/48 hr bug! :D
 
Thanks Dave, yes if you must bring a modern metal, we dont mind, you'll be banished from the classic line up tho, and you only get half a burger sorry.
Rovering member, I hope you can make it in your Rover, mines a GROLSCH, pop it in a bucket with some ice, should be nice n cool when you get here.

Tonyt, "Your Birthday" ? Listen, this may be a one off mate, get your jacksy down to Kent soak up some garden of England sunshine, (we hope) and have a laugh. Bring a co driver and some BEER.
 
just thought I should advise anyone who is planning to attend my " MID KENT P6 MEETING"

I intend to make a small charge for my troubles, ON PRESENTATION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD, You and your Partner will be entitled to a FREE cup of tea or coffee, plus a hot snack of your choice, this will take the form of either something like;
BACON ROLL, or
100% 1/4 BURGER or VEG BURGER.

THE CHARGE WILL BE JUST £1.00, AND THE PROCEEDS TO BE DONATED TO THE CLUB. There will also be a donation pot in favour of the club for you to drop your coppers in to.

additionally there will be a full range of hot and ice cold drinks, as well as ice creams available should you wish to purchase at the counter.

This should be a great evening, look out for the ad in the next club mag. There is plenty of room should you wish to bring any younger ones with you, we have footballs, skittles, rounders bats etc, to keep them entertained. This is a lovely country park setting, so come and enjoy it.

Naturally, I have to state the obvious, and that is that all who attend will be responsible for their own safety, and that of any dependants, this includes full responsibility for vehicles.

IT IS WITH MUCH REGRET THAT I HAVE TO CANCEL THIS EVENT.

I had a letter from the park park trustees on Saturday morning advising me that I could not stage this event.
This is a big blow, as i had made a lot of arrangements, not just with the club, but laying on staff etc.

I am now looking into an alternative venue. Please watch this space.
