CHROME ROSTYLES & TYRES

I wonder if they are from the green Series 1 V8 with the bulkhead corrosion issues that was on ebay recently.

Looks like it. Location is London. I've got too many other crucial parts needing money thrown at them to consider such fripperies, mores the pity.

It is, i recognise the name from emailing the guy about them.
Shame i don't have the dough, i'm sure they'll go for quite a sum :?
Oh well i'd prefer some boyd coddington customs anyway :D

I've lost interest now .........

He'll be listing those as many times as he listed the car then.......

You were saying......

There's always someone willing to fork out silly money for these things. No wonder us mere mortals can't get them at a reasonable price.

Basic rarity, lack of supply and their desirability forces the price up!
Basically the free bidding market decides the value of rare parts these days!
It will cost close to £180+vat per wheel to properly restore, and you have to find a suitable wheel first!
Original wheels for resto can easily be £50 each!
So its gonna cost you about £250 to get and fully restore just 1 wheel!!
At the current price of £300 for 4 they are going to sell and may even go higher!

Indeed. P5B wheels are very expensive to restore & minus one inch, that's what these are. The wheels have to be split to be recon'd properly. Personally, I wouldn't bother chasing them as although a factory option, most people wouldn't even know the P6 came with Rostyles at all, whereas the P5B had them as standard so you haven't really got much choice.

For the reasons you've correctly pointed out, I'm thinking silver is the new chrome when the time comes :D
