Cleaning light lenses... (Don't tell the wife)

Didn't seem to make any difference to the plastic at all, other than making them look like new, mind you, it was set to 50deg, and its not like they're going in every week; I wouldn't do it more than once in a very blue moon. (probably once a decade). Its just that I had a big box of lenses with 40 odd years of dirt on them. They looked awful. I tried putting a gash, cracked one in first, just to make sure. After a cool wash in the machine, they look great.

The Land / Range Rover service centre that I visit have an industrial washing machine for all manner of parts. Brings up dirty greasy stained items as clean as when new.

Madame's recently upgraded dishwasher resulted in me scoring the old one. All it needs is a new door handle and that is easy-peasy, so one day when I can afford to start on my old girl, cleaning will be sorted.
