Hi,
I'm not interested in buying Connor, because I have hit my car limit, and I don't have sufficient funds either. But what I am interested in is that in the pictures, the sticker in the rear window that says to use 100 octane fuel - isn't that the sticker for a 2000TC? Or does Connor have a 10:1 compression ratio engine, instead of the usual 9:1? The reason why I ask is because my current 2000 auto has a normal 9:1 engine, that has the sticker saying to use 96 octane fuel. Yet my green car, had UK market engine (I checked the numbers) but was the lower 7.5:1 compression ratio (how odd) , and IIRC the sticker said to run 93? octane fuel - she ran very happily on 95 anyway.

To make life even more confusing, I have just found out that the engine code for my current 2000 auto is not on Rudiger's site. I'm a little wary about asking this myself, but would you mind PMing me Connor's engine and VIN numbers for comparison Please?

Cheers, Adam.

Hi Adam.
I will pm you the eng/vin info tomorrow as they are files somewhere!
As for the octane label,it could be that the rear window has been replaced, maybe a better authority on all things rover can shed some light on it.

AND!!
My new toy is now in the garage,, :D Will tell all on another section later.

Connor is now all polished and prepped for sale.
I will be taking him to the Malvern event this coming Easter Sunday, and bunging up a for sale sign in him.
Sadly he has to go as ive got 4 cars now and really only got the space for a comfortable 3,and I dont want to sell the P6V8 or the TR6.
After Malvern,if not sold, I will be putting him on all the free sites I can and also on Ebay and see what happens.
I am open to sensible offers, but dont be silly!

Connor is going to be given a good clean and polish tomorrow, then put in my lock up and covered up till sold.
I can then bring Sid the TR6 home and have some open top fun.
All the spares that I have for a 2000 will be put in the boot ready to go.
The car by itself with the plate removed and a "J" reg issued, will be,,
£1795ovno

Connor is now as good as SOLD!! "Inclusive of the reg number"
I have received a paypal deposit.
Its not gone till its gone,ie; The folding stuff in my hand and its driving up the road!!
Hopefully he will be away to a new owner up in Manchester by the weekend.
He is spending his last few days with me tucked up undercover.
