Correct temp sender?

If you know it's not overheating , can you tweak the gauge a bit to make the reading less worrying?

might be worth a go - would like to prove the problem is definitely the gauge though so that it's all correct if that makes any sense?

I'm very aware that a lot of the electrics on the car seem to have been hacked about so I'd like to gradually bring it back to standard/documented... just my own decent wiring diagram and overhaul from end to end.

I need to get the incorrect sender off PAE but need to make sure i get the right one this time.

The parts diagrams suggest the sender is number 568055. Question is does this match jag and landy part numbers?
