Creaking Dashboard

All,

I wanted to give an update on this topic that I started earlier this year ......... but I cant find it now and it looks like it hasn't been migrated from the old Forum to our new Forum. Ho Hum.

Anyway, after various suggestions concerning the radio console, glovebox, dashtop, dash-clocks etc etc the final culprit was the windscreen (I think it was HarveyP6 who helped out). I gave the windscreen jack on the near side half a turn (3 flats) and now the damn noise that has eluded me for years has finally gone ! Hurrah!

I had to wait for today (long trip to the Knebworth car show) to be sure that it's gone

Of course, she's an old car, and now I can hear all the other noises I've got to eliminate....Grr.
