door speakers

mine look bigger than 10cm - possibly 12. daren't prise the cover off as it looks like it might be brittle....

After tomorrow's PAE installment i'll take a picture so you can see...

You can fit up to 6.5" speakers in the doors provided the covers aren't too bulky. You need to close the door and trace around the cover with it pushed as far down into the corner as possible and make sure it clears the window winder. You will also need to cut the metal in the door shell too. I believe the 4" speakers will fit without cutting steel.

hey guys what size speakers and what power have you got in yr doors i am looking at these http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... 65707#dtab
Don't do it would be my advice, there are other ways to fit speakers that dont spoil the simple classic uncluttered door panel design of the p6, there are a few threads on this with photos. All the ones to date I have seen look naf however I am sure it could be done with as full custom door panel build......

well i have found a set of old speakers that work and tried to see if they would fit and not problem well the speaker is 13cm but with case its 15 and it fits fine so will be going with them

Think these are 13s... gives you an idea hopefully!

I've a pair of 6x9's fitted into the door frame behind the doorcards. The idea is that nothing is seen. This does however, take away a bit of the higher frequency of the speakers so I installed two tweeters in the hole left by the window winders.

p.s. I am aware the door hangles are not fitted properly.
