Hi Guys, new here, posted the pics of my car on retro rides and got advised i should come here and show it off, its a South Africa import, or it will be when i stick it in a container in Jan, so being a SA car its 99.9% rust free, it is factory black, with the red interior, the interior looks to have hardly used, paint looks good, and still got original stickers on airbox, got to go through paperwork yet, but i was told it has fill service history, and the owners manual looks brand new, well here is some pics, they are the pics from the ad that caught my eye, and some i've taken

Ha ha . I knew they'd like it over here , I put a link up to it on another thread , ( before i realised you were a dealer , but i'll just take my percentage when it sells :D )
Good looking car , don't be driving it too much , you'll fall for it for sure :D

i wouldn't quite call myself a dealer yet, this is one of my first buys to hopefully sell and make few quid, i'm more of a classic car guy/ petrol head, thats found a way hopefully to have a hobby i can make a few bob at, i don't plan on over pricing like a lot of the ones you see on ebay, but i would like to make enough that its worth while, all the time i have money tied up in the car, its dead money, and nobody is enjoying the car.

It's a good looking car , and i'm sure it'll go for what it's worth . Good luck . I'd of been interested when i was looking for sure .
I'll wave my commission as it's Christmas and i've had too much to work out the percentages
Seriously though , good looking motor :D

That does look very nice. Can't recall ever seeing a factory black P6B before. It is interesting that a colour that will absorb the most heat was originally shipped to a hot country.

That is a beautiful car...!!!

I wonder how much (if at all) the dreaded fuel vapourisation is effected by having a black bonnet? Could that add to the heat build up under the bonnet for example...?!

Anyway, I think that this car is just stunning... Everything about it seems perfect and I'd be proud to have this to tool around in!

The texture of the seat material is different to anything I've seen. Have they been redone, or is it a feature of SA cars? If redone, it looks to be a good job; if original they're in amazing condition.

My friend did some work on that car, which appears to be retrimmed inside (the red vinyl in my SA S1 had a courser grain), and the black seems to have been a special order by the first owner. Seems he had some influence. SA Rovers could appear in near any colour available to LeyKor, but black was rare.

well i found out from the vin that the car was a ckd as it starts with a 427, i guess this means it was basicly a kit car assembled in SA to the spec of the buyer, would that be right

A very unusual colour scheme, that suits the series 1 very well. I don't think I've seen one in that scheme before on a P6, but I have on P4 and P5 (saloon).

I agree that the seat texture looks 'different', but if it has been retrimmed in SA that could explain; it looks very close to a P5B I've seen that was retrimmed in vinyl. A great looking car.

I assume that could have been the original style of texture on the interior. Interiors are always the first to be locally sourced and SA was no exception. I think I've seen other photo's similar to that. Maybe it's Springbok hide and not leather....

Chris

i'm sure the interior is original, once the car is in the uk i'm sure an expert will be able to verify
