Blimey £240 for the pair

That is silly money. No wonder us mere mortals struggle to pick up spares a decent price now.

It makes you wonder how much people would be willing to pay for the usually more expensive mechanical items.

It's not all that unusual, I've seen them go for any price between £75 and £120 in the last few years.

Best bargain I had was a chap who came on this forum offering a brand new rear light to anyone who would just refund the postage - he'd found it in his garage from very many years ago but never fitted it to his car. I shouted first and when it turned up, it wasn't the rear, it was the front light :D and he was so pleased it was going to an enthusiast, he refused to accept anything for the postage!!

There are still some good people around

£124.95 each at http://www.rover-classics.co.uk/partslist/result.php?category=12 which appears to be the last source of these NOS, tho' I have chased up some in the States which were cheaper...

that was way too much to pay on Ebay from a seller with less than perfect feedback

What about the fuel cap this seller had that went for £172.99 ( ?? )
