  hi guys, i having a little problem with my fuel stopping when the engine is running, and also restarting when the engine is hot. i notice the fuel in the filter slowly getting less, and after stopping the engine when i took the fuel line off i could hear pressure releaseing. i know it gets a bit hot under the bonnet, i will try to move the filter, but do you think its because of the heat ??. help please, i do not want to go out and break down . paul

When you released the fuel line from the filter and hissing could be heard,..that suggests fuel vapourisation.

The level of fuel within the filter is not an accurate guide to an impending problem.

Does your Rover have air conditioning? What temperature thermostat are you running?

Get the pump reconditioned - service kits available for a DIY solution although the one way valves can be tricky to get out and back in. This cured my starting problem

Or upgrade to electric pump
