Gauges

Can anyone tell me if the gauges from a v8 will work on my 2.2 tc or are they calibrated just for the v8?

Thanks in advance

I suspect most of the guages will be calibrated differently - possibly with the exception of the fuel guage which should both be for a 15 gallon tank, & the ammeter.

The rev counter will not work with a different number of cylinders & the speedo will be different because the rolling radius of a V8 tyre is larger than a 2000. The temperature guage may be OK, but the oil pressure sender will be different.

Unless others know differently.....

The guage itself is different, 0-60 on the V8, 0-100 on the 2000/2200.

IIRC this has come up in a previous thread recently.

What about the temp ?

Offhand I can't think of a reason why the temp guage would be different on a 2000/2200 to a V8. If there was a variation then it would be easier to have a different sender rather than a different guage, but I'd guess at both the senders and guages to be the same.
