Gearbox angle drive

Cheers Kev!
I have modified a 4mm allen key with my bastard file and angle grinder to do the job pro, tem! :)
Will do the job till I get a couple!!
Anyone know if the little bit of cable in them is obtainable to rebuild them with?
Or is it a case of using an old cable if the right size can be found?
Dave

Hi Dave,
You mean one of these :? if yes p/m me your address and i will post it to you

Before you fit the replacement it would be an idea to lubricate the speedo head/cable.

I had the same problem and replaced it with a spare only for that to go :x

I have fitted a good replacement speedo, and lubricated it!
It was the original speedo that had seized solid causing the breakage!
BTW it was the speedo head on my TR6,the g/box angle drives are the same,I used the spare off my backup BW35 box ,and broke it,coz i didnt check the head out.

If you'd said it was for a Triumph , it would have cost more ........
What a Stag automatic its the same autobox ie BW35/65 but i know what you mean  ie if you said it was for a Rover P5b Coupe there would be an added premium at the end if the day its called exploitation so do your homework first :(
