My 72 P6b has factory aircon and when I first turn the blower /fan on it makes a racket and then goes dead quiet after 15sec .The blower works fine except for this excruciating sound , like a cat being skinned . Its been doing this every time for the past 5 years .Time to take action .Maybe the hamster on the wheel takes a while to get going.
Is it an easy fix . Can I service myself without having to pull out the front of the car as I have huge farmer hands and dont like tight spaces .
