HT leads, distributer and LT lead

Where is the place to buy a HT lead set from. Or is JR Wadhams the best to go for all things P6 ? Or is there a modern day set that will fit?

Your landrover/range rover people can do these at very reasonable prices.

I am reluctant to say Halfords but if it is listed for a v8 range rover then they will have it.

I check the LSUK price for a dizzy cap and some were £50??? I have just ordered a set up but I have the parts on ebay for around £25.

The V8 is quite sensitive to HT lead quality (and to the state of the distributor cap!). Buy the best you think you can afford - Magnecor are sometimes touted as the best.

OOps, sorry Colin - the 1968 2000 bit below your signature is so big I didn't spot it!!!!

Chris

Yes well i thought i had better make it big as its only a lowly 2000 and a single car. Most others on the forum seem to have 3500's and a few other classics as well :)

PS: Im afraid my name isn't Colin, you mixed me up with the other guy answering the question.
PPS: Will the Landrover leads fit a 2000 ?

Sorry the landrover ones will only fit the v8. I had just ordered them up for my v8 so had them in my mind.

The Dizzy cap for a 2000 is quite common, The 25d4 dizzy was fitted to mini and a host of other cars in fact this was the source of my last cap and arm. A good motor factor should be able to source them.

The leads might take a bit of digging around for, what you would be better doing is take your old leads to the motor factor and he can compare the lengths.

You can buy them from the suppliers on the main site but give you local guys a try first you might be surprised. Also you will get them from LSUK but I find that their price can vary from very reasonable to expensive but still worth a call.
